Are you an experienced and hands-on ICT professional ready to take ownership of technology operations within a leading data centre provider? Out client is seeking a versatile and proactive ICT Manager to lead the management and development of our clients IT infrastructure, network connectivity, and application ecosystem. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of IT operations, from strategic planning to day-to-day support, while also playing an active role in delivering key customer projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network connectivity.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between internal systems and customer-facing services.
  • Plan, implement, and manage business-critical applications, ensuring they meet organizational and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend new software solutions to improve efficiency and support business growth.
  • Manage the procurement, configuration, and issuance of IT equipment (laptops, desktops, peripherals) to new staff members.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure their proper functioning and security.
  • Provide first-line technical support to staff for hardware and software issues.
  • Actively participate in customer-facing projects, providing ICT support for implementations, integrations, and service delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and customers to deliver tailored solutions, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Act as the ICT lead in customer projects, ensuring technical requirements are addressed and aligned with client expectations.
  • Track project milestones, manage risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal ICT needs, providing timely and effective support to staff members.
  • Develop and implement the company's ICT strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.

Personal Requirements

  • Proven experience as an ICT Manager, IT Manager, or similar role, ideally in a technology-driven or infrastructure-focused environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and connectivity solutions.
  • Experience managing business-critical applications and software ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with cyber-security protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in leading or supporting ICT components within larger customer-facing projects.
  • Experience in managing IT assets, budgets, and vendor relationships.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PRINCE2, CCNA, or equivalent) are a plus.
