Pay: £18 per hour (Self Employed)

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator with a strong background in the trade, a Blue CSCS card is essential as well as own transport and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply paint and wallpaper to both interior and exterior surfaces
  • Treat and remediate areas affected by mold and damp, following best practice procedures.
  • Repair damaged surfaces, including plastering, sanding, and preparation of walls and ceilings for decoration.
  • Use specialized mold-resistant paints and other treatments to protect properties from future issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants to minimize disruption during work and explain procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including any recommendations for further treatment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry techniques and materials for mold and damp treatment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to apply decorative finishes, including painting, wallpapering, and surface preparation.
  • Strong understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and building regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license.

Key Details:

  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
  • Pay: £18.00 per hour (Self Employed)
  • Location: Central Birmingham
  • Role Type: Ongoing

Requirements:

  • Blue CSCS card (In date)
  • Must have own tools and a valid driving license
