Role Overview:
The Steel Package Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of primary and secondary steelwork packages. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement, fabrication, and installation of primary and secondary steelwork packages, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and programme efficiency.
Work closely with the design, engineering, and procurement teams to coordinate structural steel elements.
Conduct site inspections, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to maintain project progress.
Ensure all steelwork aligns with technical specifications, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
Provide regular progress reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience managing both primary and secondary steel packages in the construction or infrastructure sector.
Strong understanding of steel fabrication, erection methodologies, and relevant industry regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
Proficiency in project management tools and construction software.
A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
