Location: South London
Rate: £300 per day (or competitive salary, depending on employment type)
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Site Manager to join a leading contractor on a large-scale construction project based in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong M&E site management experience to oversee the mechanical and electrical installations on site, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating M&E subcontractors, ensuring all installations, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire safety, are installed in line with project specifications and building regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with a strong pipeline of work across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all M&E installations on-site, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth progress of works.
Monitor and enforce health & safety compliance on site.
Carry out quality checks and inspections on all mechanical and electrical works.
Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure works are completed on time and within budget.
Review and manage project drawings, ensuring they are up to date and adhered to.
Manage daily site reports, progress updates, and toolbox talks.
Resolve any on-site issues that may arise regarding M&E installations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager within construction projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical installations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire safety.
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site operatives.
Strong understanding of health & safety regulations on-site.
Experience working on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Valid CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid certification.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
