Project Manager - Built Environment
London | Construction Consultancy | Public & Private Sector Projects
Some project management roles are all process, no purpose.
This isn't one of them.
I'm working with a thoughtful, well-regarded construction consultancy that takes a more considered approach to how projects are delivered. They're looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team - someone who wants to work closely with clients, add value beyond ticking boxes, and help shape buildings and spaces that serve real people.
What's different here?
This isn't a corporate machine. It's a team of experienced, down-to-earth consultants who care about delivering work properly. They partner with clients across the built environment - education, healthcare, heritage, mixed-use - and provide more than just programme and cost. They offer ideas, insight, and clarity.
You'll be given proper responsibility from day one, working on a mix of public and private sector schemes across London. The environment is flexible, supportive, and set up for long-term growth - not just yours, but the projects and communities you're working in.
The role in a nutshell:
- Lead and deliver a range of construction projects across pre- and post-contract stages
- Build lasting client relationships - you're a trusted advisor, not just a coordinator
- Contribute to project strategy, procurement, risk, programme, and delivery planning
- Work on a mix of new build, refurb and complex retrofit schemes
What they're looking for:
- Solid experience delivering construction projects in the built environment (consultancy background preferred)
- Good all-round knowledge of project lifecycles - from briefing to completion
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Confident communicator who brings clarity, not just reporting
- A genuine interest in delivering meaningful projects, not just pushing paper
In return:
- A mature and flexible working culture
- Ongoing development and support - without endless hoops to jump through
- Varied, design-led projects with purpose
- A voice in how things are done
