Reward Manager - HR Location: York (Preferred) - Flexible working location available Salary: Up to £63,000 (Dependent on skills and experience) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Reward Manager to join our HR People team at Portakabin. What You'll Be Doing As Reward Manager, you will lead the design and operational delivery of our reward strategy, ensuring our policies remain competitive and engage our people effectively. Your role will include: Compensation Policy:
  • Monitor market trends to inform fair, competitive compensation decisions.
  • Lead the annual reward cycle, overseeing pay reviews, bonuses, and incentive programmes with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Use data and market intelligence to recommend updates to reward policies aligned with industry best practices.
  • Partner with leaders and HR teams to ensure consistent application of pay decisions within governance frameworks.
Benefits Design and Management:
  • Collaborate with external partners to deliver cost-effective, compliant benefit offerings tailored to employee and business needs.
  • Support benefits strategy development and delivery across multiple countries to maintain competitiveness.
  • Manage benefits within budget and support smooth administration alongside Service Delivery and country HR teams.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and provide expert guidance as needed.
Reward Insights and Analysis:
  • Work closely with Reward specialists and Service Delivery teams to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Use data analytics to evaluate and provide evidence-based recommendations aligned with business strategy.
  • Lead or support reward-related projects contributing to overall people strategy delivery.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in compensation and benefits, providing expert advice and guidance.
Reward Partnerships:
  • Build trusted relationships with HR Business Partners and business leaders to deliver effective reward solutions.
  • Support decision-making with pay analysis, modelling, and total reward comparisons as required.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in reward management, ideally as a Reward Manager or Senior Reward Analyst.
  • Experience managing reward projects across multiple countries.
  • Strong ability to provide professional advice, analyse risks, solve problems, and make sound judgements.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of HR systems and Power BI.
  • Demonstrable success in building strong internal and external relationships and influencing stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Bachelor's degree, advanced reward or HR qualifications, and knowledge of employment law related to reward policies.
