What You'll Be Doing:


As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will:

  • Assist in the preparation of civil engineering drawings and designs.
  • Support project teams on development infrastructure
  • Produce detailed 2D CAD drawings for highways, drainage, and public realm works.
  • Work from sketches, mark-ups, and technical specifications to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Assist with Section 38 and 278 drawings for planning, tender, and construction.
  • Collaborate with engineers to deliver innovative and practical design solutions.

What We're Looking For:

  • BTEC/HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
  • Relevant work experience in a consultancy or private sector environment.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Familiarity with UK design guidance (e.g. Manual for Streets, DMRB, Local Authority Standards).
  • Experience or interest in highway design (training provided where necessary).
  • Knowledge of 3D design tools such as Site 3D or Civil 3D is a plus (training available).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage your own workload.
  • A team player who's keen to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities.
