Job Title: Groundworker - HS2 Project
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Contract Start Date: Immediate Salary: Competitive, based on experience (please inquire)
Company Overview: We are currently looking for experienced Groundworkers to join our growing team on the HS2 high-speed rail project in the Banbury area. This is a long-term opportunity to work on one of the UK's most important infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out a range of groundwork duties including drainage, kerbing, slabbing, concreting, and ducting.
Trenching and reinstatement works.
Working safely around live services and in accordance with site safety protocols.
Assisting with setting out and reading drawings (where applicable).
Collaborating with plant operators, supervisors, and other trades on site.
Requirements:
Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker card preferred)
Proven experience in groundwork on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with groundworks tools, materials, and methods.
UK Driving Licence required - site is not easily accessible via public transport.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures on site.
Desirable:
CPCS/NPORS tickets for dumper/roller or other plant machinery
Confined spaces or deep excavation certification
Previous experience working on HS2 or similar large-scale infrastructure projects
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends depending on site needs.
