Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Assistance to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in profit and loss analysis, experience working with HMRC regulations, and a solid understanding of various accountancy processes. 1.Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

2.Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

3.Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns and related documentation.Support the month end and year end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.

4.Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing accurate and timely financial information.

5.Assist in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

6.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper financial controls and procedures are followed.

7.Aid in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

8.Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

  • AAT Preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience as an Accountant Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of profit and loss analysis, financial statements, and general accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with HMRC regulations and experience in preparing tax returns.
  • Proficient in using xero accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
