Location - Within 1 hours' commute of Manchester
Duration - Initially a 12 month fixed term contract to start ASAP
The opportunity:
Kier Northern is looking to recruit an Exception Handler to be based from the Manchester office. Reporting to the Boost Manager, your role will be dealing with site invoices & system queries. Ideally you'll have a background in construction, and have previous working experience of Oracle and/or Sap. You must be confident in travelling between each Northern office (Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester), working on site and partnering with shared service teams.
Responsibilities:
- Requesting Purchase Order Increases/New Purchase Orders through the Shared Service Centre
- Running hold reports
- Analysing reports
- Receipt goods in Oracle eBS by entering GRNs against purchase orders in Oracle eBS
- Liaise with Site Managers, procurement department, FSSC and suppliers to resolve queries efficiently
- Promote discipline in good receiving and accurate recording of deliveries by sites
- Identify common and reoccurring issues and escalate to management
- Travel to site and partner with site staff, as well as shared service teams
You should have experience in the following:
- Essential - working knowledge and proficiency in Oracle and/or Sap
- Essential - strong Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Desirable - working knowledge of construction and different types of materials
- Purchase and subcontract ledger
- Desirable- knowledge of Hired Plant
- Statement reconciliation
- Familiar with good receipting
- Dealing with complex invoices with the knowledge to resolve
- Matching process
- Accurate and confident in written and verbal communication skills
- Be a good communicator, able to work efficiently, as a team member
- Clean driving license
