Position: Accounts Assistant
Location: Dublin
Salary: €25k to €30k p/a
We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Accounts Assistant, working closely with the Procurement and Admin Teams with orders, deliveries and invoices for their multiple sites across Ireland and Europe. Additionally, the individual will support the FC with their weekly and monthly duties.
Requirements:
- Experience in using Microsoft Office - both word and excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Able to deal with a high volume of delivery and invoices
- Experience in the construction industry is an advantage for this role.
- You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, have an excellent knowledge of the industry, and be motivated and a good team player.
Duties:
- Ensuring that the accounts for each site has the applicable orders charged and invoiced to maintain accurate costing reports
- Matching of orders, delivery dockets and supplier invoices for our multiple sites, inputting them into the system , and filing of invoices
- Daily inputting of suppliers invoices
- Conducting price checks on agreed prices with our suppliers.
- Chasing outstanding delivery dockets & proof of delivery from all sites, and confirming delivery when POD is absent
- Reviewing invoices that come in with different prices and investigating with procurement & Suppliers as applicable
- Addressing any over charges or errors in a timely manner
- Maintain a relationship with our suppliers and chasing outstanding dockets and invoices
- Conducting monthly reviews for each supplier and matching invoices again statements
- Bank Reconciliations and assisting with monthly accounts
- Assisting with payments; including putting payments on system for approval, setting up weekly wages bank file, and paying associated suppliers. This may include dealing within international accounts
Adhoc duties include:
- Administrative tasks, including; sorting/distribution of incoming mail, scanning, preparation of remittance advices, filing and data management.
- Support to the wider finance team as and when required.
- Ad hoc project work as and when required.
Preferred Working hours:
- The company provide flexible working time - they operate 9 hours working day (less one hour unpaid for breaks), with a start time anywhere between 7-9am.
