Accounts Payable Team Leader

Location: Salford, Manchester with flexible/hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, full-time - flexible and part-time hours is available if required.
Responsibilities
- Management of a team of 8-12 Accounts Payable Administrators in a flexible/hybrid working, high volume environment to maintain clean AP ledgers
- Co-ordinate staff and work-related issues, particularly about planning and organising work schedules
- Reporting to Accounts Payable Manager, taking accountability for the daily work allocation, performance measurement and team management
- Ensure that all queries and issues are resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreement
- Partner with and deliver great customer service to key stakeholders working across organisational boundaries (group procurement, IT, wider finance, commercial)
- Be the primary escalation point for the resolution of issues across the team from the business or the vendor
Who are we looking for?
- Experience managing medium sized teams, ideally within an Accounts Payable Shared Service function or other core transactional / financial processes in a complex business environment
- Experience of the construction industry and DRC/ CIS tax environment would be advantageous
- Experience managing/ leading change projects into Accounts Payable or similar teams
- Strong knowledge of principles, practices, regulations and procedures relating to Accounts Payable function
- Experience of Oracle and Causeway systems as a preference (but other financial systems experience is acceptable)
- Organise own workload and to reprioritise at short notice in order to meet deadlines.

In 2021 the office relocated to Salford Quays and now operates a flexible/hybrid working policy, which allows for all teams/ staff to agree the most optimal working arrangements to meet FSSC and customer needs.
