The opportunity
Kier Construction Northern is looking to recruit an Administrator who will report to the Human Resources Business Partner. The successful candidate will provide a high-quality learning and development administrative service to the business, working towards agreed service level agreement deadlines/targets and ensuring a high level of customer service is carried out at all times.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support by ensuring the timely input, accuracy and maintenance of data within business systems
  • Booking delegates on to training courses, issuing course literature, joining instructions
  • To ensure compliance training needs are identified and met in line with training plans
  • Collate course feedback to produce monthly feedback reports
  • Collate all necessary information to support the timely presentation of reports, ie attendance figures, cancellations, etc.
  • Collating data to support the CITB levy process
  • Provide records and certification as required for audit purposes
  • Engage with line management to ensure full attendance on courses
  • Deal with L&D related queries
  • Liaise with internal and external providers
  • Effectively communicate and build relationships at all levels
  • Support the delivery of training and initiatives
  • Recognise, promote and implement best practice
  • Comply with Kier Group and functional policies and procedures
  • Carry out miscellaneous administrative duties as required
Experience/skills required:


  • The successful candidate must be able to work under their own initiative, be a self-starter, enthusiastic and enjoy working with people.
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong organisational/planning skills
  • Computer literate with the ability to confidentially manage employee data, utilising the HR system and other technology tools
  • Good face to face and telephone manner
  • Professional, friendly manner
  • High standards of customer service
  • Driving licence
