Title: Administration Fixed Term Contract

Business area: Virgin Media Business and Civil Frameworks

Introduction: The Southampton office is an extremely busy and exciting office, it is the main point of contact for the teams across the country out on site delivering schemes of work digging holes and laying new Virgin media cable. We work on planned and reactive works in this office, we liaise with the local councils and the client to ensure the works are delivered in a safe and timely manner.

Key Accountabilities:
  • To undertake training for own development
  • Manage personal and group emails
  • Validate, import and issue job pack received from our client
  • Generate reports on a daily basis on existing works and manage with the field teams
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers both verbally and in writing
  • Prioritise work and feed back to line manager as necessary
  • Problem solving and liaising with relevant parties as required
  • Handle inbound and outbound phone calls
  • Effectively meet strict operational deadlines and report to line manager any potential failures
  • Attend conference calls as required, presenting any collated information to the client taking away any actions
  • Update various systems accurately with validated information
  • Communicate effectively with team members and line manager
  • General office duties as required
  • Chase Direct Labour and Sub Contractors for up to date information to update client systems, escalating within the process where necessary
  • Raise referrals using client systems to highlight issues with job packs
  • Build relationships with internal and external parties
  • Administration of works from receipt through to completion liaising with field teams and our client.

  • Good computer skills including a good knowledge of Microsoft office programmes.
