An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well organised professional Administrator to join their existing Distribution team based in Panshanger, Hertfordshire.
You will be required to professionally and accurately take Customer orders and schedule trucks to meet deliveries, ensuring the highest standard of customer service is met at all times.
You must be confident to communicate and co-ordinate with internal and external contacts to ensure effective utilisation of the sector's Readymix plants and fleet of truck mixers.
We would expect the successful candidate to have a high level of drive, strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Industry experience is favourable but not necessary as full training and support will be given to the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Build & maintain solid working relationships with customers, local sector team including drivers.
- Orders - Accurately take order information and input onto the system.
- Customer Service - Respond positively and confidently to customer requirements.
- Planning - Scheduling and ensuring timely delivery of orders agreed with customers, optimising cost through effective truck utilisation.
- Trucking - Making service decisions based on fleet numbers and potential truck transfers
- Monitoring - Maintain real time progress of scheduled orders allowing you to identify potential problem areas and pro-actively resolve them.
- Communication - Proactively communicate with customers to explain progress of deliveries (in particular immediate notification of late loads).
- Liaison with plants to ensure raw materials in place for planned deliveries.
- Daily liaison with Sales Manager, External Account Rep and Internal Account Rep to review next day program.
- Multi Skilling - Gain a basic understanding and knowledge of other roles that exist within the sector.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Customer focussed, good listening skills.
- Able to prioritise multiple & sometimes conflicting Customer/Plant/Trucking issues.
- Attention to detail essential.
- Well organised, ability to prioritise and work with minimal supervision.
- Computer literate.
- Problem solving skills.
- Team Player communicating, sharing, knowledge, assisting others, and asking for help.
