As an Administrator within the authority, you will join a professional and responsive team providing administrative support for postgraduate research degrees in the Institute.
Staff are currently working from home and therefore you must be able to work remotely for the duration of this assignment. This role is part time, working between Wednesday and Friday.
Role Specific Duties:
- Responsible for the Institute central email inbox: responding to, escalating, recording and forwarding emails as appropriate.
- Supporting applications and admissions: responding to enquires, logging and processing application forms, tracking activity.
- Producing standard student status letters on request.
- Room and catering bookings.
- Maintaining the Institute's central online diary.
- Raising purchase requisitions and ordering consumables.
- Assisting with student moves when individuals not currently in the UK.
- Receiving and logging of students' monthly meeting records and absence reporting.
The Administrator should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and have experience of using systems and procedures to maintain accurate records. Experience of working collaboratively within a team in a customer/stakeholder service environment is essential. The post requires the ability to work effectively and accurately in an environment of regulations, policies and procedures - locally this will include Post Graduate Research, GDPR, Tier 4 and admissions.
