Due to winning the A417 missing link road contract, Kier Highways Major Projects team is recruiting for an Agent to specify, schedule and manage the engineering resources (people, and physical assets) to ensure the technical compliance of the assigned scheme to the design specification and to implement the plan safely, on time and to the required quality while maximising customers' satisfaction and gross profit. Location: Southwest England - remote working available, where you will be based out of our local Kier offices with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites

Contract: Permanent Fulltime

Salary: £51k - £58k

Responsibilities

As Agent, you will be responsible for the management of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality SHEQ) matters for areas of direct responsibility. Manage design & pre-construction, construction to close out to meet all contractual requirements.

Your day to day will include:

  • Assisting the Construction Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient site management of the project quality objectives, promote continuous improvement and share good practice at project level and within the business
  • Managing and motivate the engineering and design staff on the scheme and to establish its full contribution to the organisation
  • Working to the goal of making the project a rewarding experience for all parties involved by creating a happy working environment of collaboration, trust, partnership, open communication and a 'proud of what we do' culture. and stretching targets and striving for the highest levels of quality to help make the scheme award winning
