We're looking for a Marine Agent to join our Major Projects HPC department based in Somerset, Bridgewater. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As an Agent you'll be working within the major projects HPC team, supporting them by taking ownership of a project by managing resources (people, finance and physical assets) in a safe and timely manner to the required quality.

Your day to day will include:

  • Lead a significant section of the marine works, ensuring all labour, plant, materials and supply chain resources are accurately recorded.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of Performance Excellence and Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with Kier standards.
  • Promote integrated working with other members within the project to create a one-team ethos, including development of team members.
  • Take full ownership and accountability for cost management of your project, ensuring robust control of Target Cost, actual costs and forecasts through commercial awareness.


Who are we looking for?

This role of Agent is great for you if:

  • You have relevant qualifications - degree level, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in marine civil engineering & logistics
  • Excellent communication and project management skills including leading and managing technical teams.
  • Able to take the lead with client interfaces.
  • Able to establish project requirements and drive the team to deliver the outcomes in terms of quality, cost and programme.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
