Introduction: Kier Utilities is looking to recruit an Agent who will report to the Construction Manager on our renovations workstream, clean water. The successful post-holder will be responsible for multiple work streams (predominately subcontract supply chain) from start to finish, covering all aspects of renovations. The role involves mitigating site risks and hazards with appropriate control measures through ensuring production of comprehensive method statements and risk assessments. Undertaking of regular site audits, checking, monitoring and reviewing H&S, Environmental and Quality compliance, and taking appropriate action for any non-conformance when identified. Monitor programmed timescales and budget and effectively communicate delays or scope changes aligned with NEC process. Ensure water hygiene, quality of workmanship and best practices are achieved at all times by the workforce. Effectively communicate business updates, learning events and safety briefings. Regularly work on own initiative to problem solve and overcome everyday obstacles. Ensure accurate monitoring of subcontract resource is in place with corresponding diaries, allocation sheets and appropriate records. Collaboratively work with client and stake holders.
Key responsibilities:
  • General site management, including completion of all records as required
  • All Health and Safety issues on site, completion of records
  • Communicating with the Operations Manager and other colleagues to monitor progress and inform of problems
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant Safety, Health and Environmental legislation and that recycling takes place whenever possible
  • Ensure proper use of plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum. Completing PUWER & LOLER sheets
  • Responsible for the monthly cost and value figures for the area
  • Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Holder of a Full UK Driving Licence
  • NRSWA Supervisor
  • Cat & Genny Trained
  • 5 day site safety Managers qualification
  • Able to use an electronic device for recording work details
  • Organised individual with a strong attention to detail
