Position: Air Tightness and Ventilation Engineer
Location: Leinster
Salary: Neg DOE
Responsibilities
- Conduct air tightness and ventilation testing in line with industry standards and best practices.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to optimize designs for air tightness.
- Identify sources of air leakage and recommend remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and energy efficiency regulations.
- Train and educate clients and team members on the importance of air tightness and energy efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to air tightness and building performance.
Requirements
- Experience required in the ventilation industry and/or already registered as an NSAI/INAB
- A broad industry understanding of the types of ventilation options/systems (natural, CMEV/DCV/MVHR etc.), their design and testing requirements under Part (F)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building science, HVAC systems, or energy engineering.
- Proficiency in air tightness testing methods and equipment.
- Strong understanding of building codes and energy regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in energy auditing or building performance analysis are a plus.
