Architect Job in Leeds

New requirement for an Architect job with a multi-disciplinary company focusing on sustainability projects.

This employee owned cooperative of 10 professionals is composed of Engineers and Architectural staff. They focus on Sustainability including passive house design across sectors such as large scale residential, commercial, retrofit, and bespoke home designs. The company now have an opportunity for an Architect to join its team with the ongoing plan to take a lead role in the running of the department.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Run sustainability focused projects from Concept to completion
  • Work directly with clients
  • Take a lead role in the development of the Architectural department
  • Assist in the development of junior members of staff
  • Work on the production of design and drawing packages
  • Collaborative working with other teams in the business
  • Ongoing development and learning of the sustainability sector
  • Incorporating new technology and process into the design process.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Architect with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
  • Ability to run projects from concept to completion across all RIBA stages
  • Experience of interest in sustainable design is essential
  • Experience of PHPP or passive house design qualification is desirable
  • Project background involving Retrofit, residential, community and sustainable would be highly beneficial
  • Experience in ArchiCAD or Revit is beneficial but not essential
  • Confident working directly with clients
  • Keen to be a driving force in the future of the direction of the department and company as a whole.
