Architect Job in Slough, Berkshire

Our client is an independent architectural practice who now has a new Architect job available. The role would involve being Project Lead on a number of retirement living and care sector projects.

Established for over 50 years this award-winning architectural practice has developed a reputation for delivering client-focused projects in the retirement living and care sector. Due to this track record and strong client relationships, they are now looking to add a project-running Architect to the team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in the running of projects
  • Managing a small project team
  • Developing initial design concepts
  • Assessing sites and preparing feasibility proposal
  • Production of design proposals planning applications and presenting to clients
  • Production of detailed design packages
  • Attending site
  • Working directly with clients and external bodies such as planning, building control, and other statutory bodies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Registered ARB Architect with at least two years post part 3 experience
  • Ability to use AutoCAD/ Revit
  • Experience in care or retirement living projects would be highly beneficial
  • Confident in running projects
  • Interest in Sustainability
  • Good knowledge of Adobe, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK building and planning regulations
  • Due to site locations, you will need a valid UK driving licence.

  • Salary up to £ 49,000 depending on experience.
