Architectural Interior Designer Job in Manhattan, New York City

Architectural Interior Designer / Interior Architect required to join an architecture and design firm based in New York. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial/workplace design and have been involved in projects from start to completion. The role is offering a salary of up to $80,000 + hybrid working + 401k & other benefits. Immediate start available!

Established in 2005, our client has grown and developed over the years, now completing circa 140 projects a year for a range of client, both locally and internationally; typically ranging between 5,000 - 50,000 SF. This role will see you join their design team of 15, working alongside the Director of Design on a daily basis, you will be involved in all stages of design and have the opportunity to develop your career with a down-to-earth and progressive design firm in the heart of New York City.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Space planning and test-fits
  • Concept design and development
  • Preparation of presentation drawings
  • Coordination of contract documents
  • 2D technical designs and creation of technical packages, project specifications
  • Visit sites and oversee installations with guidance from the wider team

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 - 8 years' experience within workplace/corporate design, ideally with a large design firm
  • Degree qualified in architecture, interior architecture, or similar
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit also welcome), as well as SketchUp and the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, In-Design, & Illustrator)
