Architectural Technician
West Yorkshire
£25-30,000
Full time, permanent
Architectural Technician required for a well-established supplier of bespoke building systems. Using AutoCAD and Revit you will be providing the design input for the complete turnkey service which takes the client from the initial consultation right through to handover. You will be liaising with your clients, contractors and architects to ensure you are providing the best quality buildings, and you will be supported rather than micro-managed. Projects range across the sector, so you could be working on commercial, education, healthcare and residential, all using energy efficient solutions made in a facility in West Yorkshire.
We would be keen to hear from you if you are an Architectural Technician with the following:
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D and 3D ideally) and Revit (this is preferred but training can be given if you have not used this software yet)
- Solid experience in the design of buildings - any offsite construction / MMC experience would be of particular interest (think modular buildings, timber frame, volumetric, light gauge steel or similar)
- Understanding of UK Building Regulations
- Able to work largely unsupervised, managing your time effectively
- Communication skills, able to liaise with all stakeholders in a variety of projects
- A real desire to take a long-term approach to your career
This company takes a pride in its product range, where each building is designed to the client's very specific requirements. They have a very real commitment to quality, sustainability and creating energy-efficient buildings for all purposes. They are appointed on a number of Public Sector Framework Agreements which means they are able to plan for the future knowing there is some stability. The range of projects also provides an extra dimension of stability as they are working across a number of sectors. They are conveniently situated in the West Riding, close to the M62 and bus stops just a couple of minutes' walk away. Working hours are typically 0800 to 1630 and the holiday entitlement increases with length of service - you are also entitled to private healthcare along with the statutory pension provision. Whilst there is a professional and hardworking ethos in the team, you can expect to enjoy a degree of autonomy although support is provided as required. Can your working atmosphere be relaxed and professional? This company does it!
Appointment is expected to be made early 2020 so this is the right time to start applying - stake your claim today or call Sue if you would like to discuss this role in confidence.
