Breedon are currently seeking an Area Assistant Asphalt Manager to join the team, based at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. You will support the Area Asphalt & Concrete Manager to achieve safe and efficient production of materials in line with customer demand and expectation.

You will be accountable for ensuring our colleagues understand and take on our Health Safety & Wellbeing agenda. Ensuring our colleagues and contractors operate in a safe, competent and effective manner, and are recognised for good practice and effective contribution.

The successful candidate will ensure…

  • Safe working practices are strictly observed
  • Key production and quality processes are followed and comply with audit requirements.
  • Accurate & timely reporting of stock, production, expenditure and labour
  • RAP is managed in an efficient and compliant manner
  • Plants operate at their full potential via site improvement plans, preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Sites comply with planning conditions, environmental concerns and good neighbour plans

Key experience…

  • Managing and leading safety on a site
  • Managing and supervising operational roles
  • Production and quality control of Asphalt
  • Audit procedures
  • Processing RAP with WAMITAB qualification desirable
  • Collating and inputting information for finance activity
