The role of Area Hire Manager is a hands on, commercial and results driven sales manager who has a passion for business development, understanding clients' needs and achieving orders, whilst delivering excellent customer service and clearly demonstrates our Company values. You will promote a specification sales approach where the details of all commercial proposals are clearly documented and understood by both the customers and the internal departments of Portakabin (Ireland). The role is target driven and the key focus is on order winning activity. You'll generate enhanced order values through the effective promotion of additional product offerings (Air Conditioning, furniture, fire alarms etc.) collectively known as Building Services. Role Details
  • Starting Salary: €55,000
  • Location: Dublin North
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holiday
Role Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the delivery set targets for the year for a particular catchment area including contract value, order numbers, and visits as well as other commercial KPI's.
  • Carry out structured business development, local and national campaigns, including "cold calling" within the area designated, in order to achieve order targets.
  • Prepare quotations and drawings against customer requirements.
  • Generate orders by attending Customer sites.
  • Maximise added value for every opportunity through promoting the full range of Building Services.
  • Complete customer care programme to ensure maximum satisfaction, continuity of business and maximise referral opportunities.
  • Effectively use internal systems (e.g. SAP, CRM) to ensure customer information is kept up to date and systems are aligned.
  • As directed liaise with Projects, Operations and Logistics colleagues with regard to deliveries, terminations and installations.
  • Expedition of monies owed, in line with company guidelines and procedures.
Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has:
  • A full Irish driving license
  • Proven commercial experience, including face to face sales experience and business development,
  • Strong experience of carrying out business development activities (campaign calling and cold calling),
  • Strong ability to work independently and drive in new initiatives,
  • Strong B2B sales experience,
  • Solid understanding of various software packages including CRM, PowerBI, MS Teams and MS Office.
  • Ability to keep up to date with competitor information and market trends.

Qualifications Essential
  • Leaving certificate or equivalent, including Maths and English

Previous Experience Essential
  • Substantial technical sales experience, including f2f and B2B
  • Extensive experience of specification selling into multinationals and construction industry or related industries
  • Track record of delivering against challenging targets
  • Track record of successfully introducing new processes and KPIs
Desirable
  • Experience gained in a Hire environment
