Kier Highways are now recruiting for a Street Lighting Area Manager to deliver electrical maintenance and schemes works across our Birmingham Council Contract. Responsible for managing the interface between the design team, specialist subcontractors and the delivery teams, your role is vital to our success.

Some of your responsibilities include:

· Managing and administering the construction and maintenance works

· Ensuring that there is a construction / maintenance programme on site

· Ensuring that appropriate inspection, testing and sampling is carried out

· Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial and progress reports

· Briefings and daily communication with the site team

· Liaising with Local Authorities, Statutory Authorities, Emergency Services and other third parties

· Organising the daily duties of site-based supervisors and operatives

· Inspecting the Works in course of construction

Required Skills and Experience:

· The applicant must be suitably qualified to undertake supervision of Street Lighting Contractor within the Birmingham Network to the level of C&G 200, 236/1, 236/2, 2380, 2391, G39/1,

· ONC / HNC in Electrical / Civil Engineering or relevant experience.
