We are now recruiting for an Asset Management Technician to join our Highways team in Birmingham to work as part of a team managing all highway asset information using an Asset Management System and Geographical Information Systems, as part of the Birmingham Highways Interim Services Contract being delivered by Kier.
Key Responsibilities
As the Asset Management Technician undertake collection and management of highway asset information both on site and in the office using a variety of tools including handheld data capture devices, GIS and the Confirm Asset Management System. Undertake or Manage condition surveys of highway pavement assets using DVI, Grip Tester, SCANNER and Deflectograph. Ensuring that all data collected in an accurate and timely fashion. Work with other members of the AM team collaboratively to deliver projects to programme and to meet client requirements. Monitor and report progress on tasks at weekly meetings.
What do we need from you?
- Experience in Highway Asset Management would be useful.
- Experience in using GIS system, Asset Management Systems such as Confirm and MS Office products especially Excel to a good standard.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team both on site and in the office
- Good time management skills with an eye for detail and accuracy and the ability to deliver to targets
