Your responsibilities:

To lead the highways Asset Management Team maintaining asset information for all highway assets on the Birmingham network. To manage inventory and condition data for highway assets using the 'Confirm' Asset Management System. To manage condition surveys of highway pavement assets by external contractors using DVI, Grip Tester, SCANNER and Deflectograph. To manage the collection and updating of asset data in an accurate and timely fashion using in-house and/or external resources. To advise the client organisations (BHL/BCC) on future work programmes and priorities using pavement modelling. To advise on use of materials and design reviews to deliver sustainable and innovative solutions. To undertake asset valuation and lifecycle planning. To undertake analysis and reporting of data as required. To ensure performance targets, goals and objectives are achieved. To comply with Kier procedural requirements and guidance.

What are we looking for?

Extensive experience in Highway Asset Management

Extensive experience of highway pavement design /engineering materials and maintenance

Experience in using GIS systems, Asset Management Systems such as Confirm and MS Office products especially Excel and Access to a good standard.

Experience of managing a technical team
