Assistant Accountant
Breedon are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team at Breedon on the Hill, near Derby.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Reporting
- Assist month end consolidation and group management accounts process
- Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and group annual and interim reports
- Assist in month end accounting for head office companies, including ownership of smaller entities
- Monitor intercompany balances
Tax
- Assisting Tax Accountant and Tax Manager with preparation of tax packs for PWC
- Assist with tagging of statutory accounts for tax purposes
- Intrastat/EC Sales List reporting
- Assist with preparation of PSA
- Assist with preparation of VAT returns
Treasury
- Monitoring of cash balances around the group
- Adding / removing users access to online banking
- Assist with preparation of cash flow forecasts
- First line release of manual payments
Risk & Controls
- Assist with testing of financial control processes
- Assist with preparation of process maps for key accounting & tax processes
