We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our centralised Procurement Team and provide a quality procurement service to our stakeholders both internally and external. This role is in line with our vision of working towards being the 'Procurement Centre of Excellence'.

Location: Flexible with hybrid travel to Rushden, Northamptonshire
Business Unit: Kier Group Services
Contract: Full-Time, permanent and able to consider part-time opportunities

Key Responsibilities

In this Assistant Buyer role, you will manage ticket requests from the business in line with SLAs. You'll raise purchase orders for projects and ensure urgent orders are approved within a timely manner. This role will involve providing appropriate benchmarking high value requisitions and supporting the wider Kier operating units with pricing requests.

What are we looking for?

An organised and proactive individual with a customer focused approach. You'll have good customer service skills with an ability to adapt in a demanding environment. You'll be able to work under your own initiative and previous experience within a Procurement industry is desirable.
