Contract Officers are an integral part of the Commercial team providing support from cradle to grave on projects to both the bid and delivery teams. The role they undertake is pivotal to ensure we engage with all stakeholders on the right commercial terms and that the correct contractual documents and framework is in place. They are the first line of defence in ensuring risks are appropriately managed and that the Kier gateway standards are observed in Pre-Construction. They provide support to the site teams on contentious/claims issues both up and down stream where time is of the essence, and a working knowledge of the project is extremely beneficial.
You will need to have an understanding of the legal industry, either through experience or a degree. Knowledge of construction law, and construction contracts, would be advantageous but not essential.
