We're currently recruiting for an Environmental Assistant to work alongside our Group Environmental Sustainability team in the implementation of our Kier Sustainability Framework.

Primarily the role will focus on working with various functions to help build, collect, and verify data from across the Kier Group to drive progress towards our commitments and support internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities

In this Environmental Assistant role, you will work closely with our Group Environmental Manager to protect our ISO4001 licence to operate and support the ongoing review and delivery of our Sustainability Framework and related Environmental policies and standards. You will also conduct environmental inspections and support environmental audits where required and capture sustainability data to monitor, track and report progress against our Group Sustainability Framework.

What do we need from you?

A degree qualified individual with a minimum Associate level Professional Membership with IEMA or equivalent level and demonstrable experience within a similar role. You will have a good working knowledge of environmental legislation and its application within a business environment and working experience of KPI data collection. You will also have a good understanding of the principles of the environmental and sustainability agenda and experience of developing documentation, procedures to meet ISO14001 standards.
