Position: Assistant Estimator
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum
The Company:
We have been instructed by a manufacturer of bespoke modular buildings to source an Estimator to join their small team. Due to increasing demand for works and an ever-growing order book we currently wish to recruit an Assistant Estimator to work within our busy Modular Team assisting with costing enquiries and the preparation of tenders and quotes for modular buildings.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Analyse and cost enquiries.
* Assist with the preparation of tenders and quotes for modular buildings.
* Monitor progress and ensure schedules are returned to correlate with tender deadlines.
* Review and update Linkpak product pricing schedules as instructed.
* Ensure the company complies with current Building Regulations.
* Provide advice and guidance regarding technical costing queries for internal and external clients.
* Liaise with internal and external clients and architects regarding drawing specifications.
Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate will ideally have a HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Construction Management and previous experience gained within a similar environment. You will have proven ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines; be highly proficient in the use of MS Office and have basic knowledge of current Building Regulations. In addition, you will be articulate, have excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Experience within a similar organisation is desirable but not essential.
