Introduction: Kier Construction Southern requires an Assistant Estimator to join the highly successful team in Aylesford. With an order book of secured workload for the coming years, as the successful candidate you'll report into the Estimator and be part of a very supportive team which is keen on development.

Key responsibilities:
  • Accurately report the financial and contractual situation of the sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Check that sub-contractors are procured to the programme and that agreements are robust in order to achieve best value
  • Measure and assess the work undertaken and then submit detailed, accurate and timely applications for payment including final accounts
  • Be aware of the QA procedures and Group Standing Orders at all times
  • Be knowledgeable about the provisions of the Construction Act and other Contract types relating to suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Contribute to the set up and review of the project risk register
Key skills and qualifications:
  • Education level of Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Estimating or a related subject
  • Some working experience within surveying or estimating
