Job Role
You will provide the first point of contact in all aspects of Housing Management advising customers about policies and procedures.
You will have daily contact with tenants, applicants and their representatives concerning any aspect of Housing Management and conditions of tenancy, for example advising on anti-social behaviour, rent account monitoring, progress of adaptations, mutual exchanges, transfers, etc.
You will have knowledge of policies and procedures for dealing with breaches of conditions of tenancy, particularly anti-social behaviour and rent arrears in order to assist the Housing Officers provide advice and information to customers.
Person
You will have previous experience in housing or housing related work. You will also have knowledge of homelessness, void property management, benefit maximisation and rents.
You will have experience of case work and have the ability to communicate with customers in a variety of ways. You will also have experience of managing your own area and caseload, and have experience of working in a result orientated environment.
You will need to have knowledge of the housing act 1996 and the homelessness act 2002 and associated guidance.
You must have clear and accurate letter and report writing skills, plus the ability to produce comprehensive interview notes and witness statements.
You will undertake 'sign-ups' with new tenants explaining the tenancy agreement in detail, specifically the tenant and landlord obligations.
You will maintain databases as appropriate and assist in the co-ordination of paperwork for anti-social behaviour cases and estate inspections.
You will provide administrative support, including answering the telephone and any other general office duties as and when required.

You will have experience of work in a similar environment
You will have good knowledge of all IT and database systems
You will have good knowledge of all housing related issues
