Location: Flexible - requirement to be mobile to visit sites across Kier Places business across the UK
Business Unit: Kier Places
Contract: Full-Time, 6-month FTC
We are recruiting for an Assistant HR Business Partner, on a 6-month Fixed term contract/secondment basis to work across our Kier Places Business.
Kier Places HR team support our Facilities Management, PFI, Housing Maintenance and Environmental operational teams ensuring a good understanding of business issues and how HR can add value on career management, talent management, people development as well as ensuring the wellbeing of our people remains at the core of our culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Head of HR/HR Business Partner with key business projects, restructure, TUPE transfers and change management
- Mediate and negotiate to promote an early resolution to contentious ER matters
- Partnering with line managers and supervisors to resolve day to day issues and to implement good people management practices. Setting high standards of service
- Liaising with relevant members of the divisional HR team and the central HR functions on complex matters
Who we are looking for
- A pragmatic and resilient HR practitioner, with proven experience of delivering people initiatives within a complex business environment
- Previous experience with TUPE transfers and change management
- Accomplished with early resolution to contentious ER matters
- Experience with actively managing and advising on absence, long term ill health
