Catfoss Recruitment Ltd are currently in partnership with a globally respected international hotel group and they are looking to recruit an Assistant Maintenance Manager (Hotel) on a permanent basis to their technical team.

Assistant Maintenance Manager (Hotel) Job Description

This hotel is the biggest in our collection and we are looking for an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to help maintain our building very close to Wembley Stadium, London. Reporting into our Chief Engineer you will be required to assist in smooth running of the engineering department. This is not your average sized hotel this supersized 300+ Bedroom property with carpark, extensive public areas, meeting spaces and large back of house areas really takes a great deal of care and attention to maintain.

This role is quick paced and very hands-on, 65% of your time in the role will require you to be involved in the daily maintenance needs of the hotel. This will involve reactive and planned maintenance work and potential ad hoc project work. Flexibility will be required to ad-hoc duties or unexpected reactive maintenance to get the task completed. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks to a high standard and ensuring that the hotel always remains safe and compliant. Planned maintenance schedule is in place to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are completed and you will need to be able to complete such tasks that the schedule requires. The role will require you to timely repair, replace or refurbish the hotel areas and equipment to ensure that the hotel is working well, always looking great and our guests are safe and well looked after.

The remaining 35% of your time in the role you will have some maintenance administrative duties such as ensuring purchase orders are raised for supplies, ordering supplies & completing maintenance supplies stock takes. You will also ensure documentation is completed surrounding health and safety compliance. Further tasks could include auditing and making sure risk assessments are completed thoroughly and on time. You will communicate with the other departments in the hotel to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.

Working with our digital health and safety compliance platform, you will ensure that the hotel remains safe, and complaint and you will use the system to ensure our high levels of health and safety standards are maintained.

Ideally the candidate will have some of the following:

* Minimum three years' experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience of maintaining large facilities such as 150+ bedroom hotels/resorts, large accommodation units or hospital type buildings.
* Experience in either plumbing, electrical or mechanical repair.
* Proven experience in completing reactive maintenance jobs.
* Hotel experience preferred but not essential.

Assistant Maintenance Manager (Hotel) - Role in our Family

* Hands-on person, responsible for the maintenance operations of the hotel, including service standards, equipment schedules.
* Communicate with other departments to coordinate and prioritise maintenance activities for Guest rooms and public areas.
* Develop systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of Guests and Team Members, as well as the proper conditions for plants, machinery, and property.
* Perform daily checks around the hotel.
* Conduct lift and emergency release procedures as required.
* Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel.
* Maintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise.
* Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Engineering Department and take corrective action, as required, to improve equipment inventory, quality audit, productivity and other objectives.
* Ensure that the hotel and its compliance paperwork is in order and ready for inspection by any regulatory authority.
