Breedon are currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team based at Breedon on the Hill.

You will provide finance administration support to a number of areas across Breedon GB Materials. You will ensure that financial deadlines are met in an accurate and timely manner, costs are allocated and coded correctly, and balance sheet reconciliations are prepared.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Provide support to the Key Stakeholders of the Business in the provision of financial and KPI data
  • Reconciliation of capital expenditure
  • Entry of month end journals for reporting
  • Assist with forecast and budget preparation and analysis
  • To prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with preparation of the VAT returns
  • First-line support for queries
  • Provide holiday cover for the other Assistant Accountants
  • To ensure financial data is accurate and complete and coded correctly
  • To ensure balance sheet reconciliations are performed routinely and any differences are investigated and resolved
  • Ad-hoc queries responded to satisfactory level
  • All other duties or tasks as requested by your line manager

    • You must be able to demonstrate a high level of written and numerical literacy. AAT qualification or part qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) is desirable.
