As a result of sustained demand, a dynamic, highly organised Assistant Manager is required to join a small, extremely successful business to provide a broad ranging sales, administration and operational support service to the Managing Director both on-site and within the office.


Premier Building Products Anglia Ltd is a distributor of quality specialised building materials for the United Kingdom. Based in East Anglia but with national coverage, Premier is committed to providing excellent customer service including full technical back up and on-site support.


The successful Technical Assistant will be exposed to all areas of the business from day one and will quickly become a valuable resource for the Managing Director, providing a 360-degree service to all clients in their absence. All necessary product and industry training will be provided along with all the support needed to excel in this fast-paced role.
The ideal candidate will enjoy a varied remit within the construction supplies industry, learning the ropes from the ground up. Applicants must be excited by the prospect of joining a flourishing, busy small business with an expectation of getting their hands dirty from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shadowing the Managing Director across all areas of the business including operations, admin, sales, support, site visits and finance. This is an all-encompassing role!
  • Providing a company wide support service to areas of the business as required.
  • Client liaison - our client has spent years developing a loyal customer base.
  • Providing reports, summaries and feedback to the Managing Director across all business functions.
  • Maintaining the client database through addition, updating and removal of customer information in compliance with GDPR and to improve the quality of the customer data.
  • Producing quotations for customers and carrying out site visits.
  • Conducting all operational, day-to-day tasks in the absence of the Managing Director.



Skills & Experience

  • B2B sales support/administration/operational experience in a customer facing role.
  • Knowledge of the full product sales lifecycle.
  • Construction industry supplies knowledge. - Desirable.
  • Telephone and written communication skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • A "can-do" attitude with an eagerness to pick up new skills quickly, providing a valuable, reliable resource.
  • Happy in a fast paced, small team environment.
