We are now recruiting for an Assistant Planning Manager to join our Highways team in Birmingham to provide assistance in the management of the Birmingham Highways Planning Team. Manage resource of staff, contractors and liaise directly with operational mangers to ensure a right first-time delivery model is integrated on contract. Key Responsibilities
Ensure the Kier values are enforced in planning team and that measures are put in place to promote these values. Ensure production of detailed works handovers. Liaison between planning and delivery teams to ensure jobs are planned right first time, cost effectively. Liaison with third parties, stakeholders, collaborative working to ensure network occupancy is optimized. Ensure any special materials required are ordered in appropriate timescales. Support Planning Manger and provide regular reports as required. Develop detailed works packages in line with contract requirements. Liaise with Client, members of the public and other key stakeholders including the emergency services where required. Manage performance, training, competency and development of planning team in accordance with business needs.

- Computer literate with regards to Microsoft programmes, Confirm (ideal)
- Good interpersonal skills
