We're looking for an ambitious and proactive canddiate for an Assistant Health & Safety / Principal Designer role with a Construction Consultancy based in Birmingham city centre. This well established firm covers a number of disciplines such as Building Surveying, Cost Consultancy and Project Management as well as a Health & Safety team, and they have a broad client base.

The successful candidate will be supporting more senior team members across a wide range of Health & Safety Consultancy duties including the preparation of H&S files, Pre-Construction packs and site audits and will be given the opportunity to gain broad hands on Health & Safety experience in a client facing role. In due course you will be managing your own workload in a Consultant role.

We are ideally looking for a relevant H&S qualification such as Nebosh as well as at least a year's Construction H&S experience. Knowledge of ISO standards and relevant legislation such as CDM 2015 is a definitive advantage. This role requires a well organised and professional approach, strong communication skills and attention to detail. Initially most of the work will be office based and accompanying colleagues on site inspections, but in due course the successful candidate will be engaged in site inspections and audits and must be able to travel. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is a requirement of the role.
