Kier Utilities have been awarded one of three places on the Framework as a Tier One contractor to deliver utility infrastructure in the Central section of HS2 for EKFB (Effiage Kier Ferrovial BAM)
This framework is anticipated is run for three years and has an overall value to us of £60m-£70m.We anticipate delivering 30 utility schemes through the framework period
The award is based on a geographical area between Bicester and Leamington Spa.
The works are the installation of utility infrastructure to facilitate the construction of the HS2 line. The utilities that require delivery are Water, Electrical and Communications assets.
It is an excellent opportunity for staff to fast track their careers and enhance their CV's whilst playing a crucial role in the delivery of a high-profile UK infrastructure project that will improve the interconnectivity of the UK.
About the role
You will be working on one the highest profile schemes in the UK delivering HS2. We are looking for an Assitant Project Manager to join the team, to deliver multiple projects within budget and timescales, whilst complying with Health, Safety and Environment. You will be completing ECI works to get contract to site and then delivering utility diversions project schemes including water, electric and communications assets. You will assist in managing multiple projects on site within the overall programme from inception to completion of schemes.
What do we need from you?
To be successful, you will hold experience within the utility industry and have previously undertaken an Assistant Project Management role or Project Coordination role in delivering utilities, at least two of the following - water, electrical and communications. You will have some commercial and contract awareness. You will have excellent organisation and logistics skills and a good understanding and knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
