About the role

You will be working on one the highest profile schemes in the UK delivering HS2. We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join the team, to deliver multiple projects within budget and timescales, whilst complying with Health, Safety and Environment. You will be completing ECI works to get contract to site and then delivering utility diversions project schemes including water .electric and communications assets. You will manage projects on site within the overall programme from inception to completion of schemes.
Manage the day to day site operations, ability to write RAMS/WPPs, plan vehicle movements, abide by U&As communicate with the planner and update programmes. Be aware of the surrounding works/contractors and the co-ordination of all parties re the planned works. Work closely with the commercial team. Ability to complete the required daily records for all programme delays, attendees, commercial and issue to the relevant teams. Ability to attend meetings and represent the company with the clients. Ordering of plant and materials.
Manage and ensure ITP's are agreed and completed accordingly.

What do we need from you?

To be successful, you will hold experience within the utility industry and have previously undertaken a Project Management role in delivering multiple utilities, at least two of the following - water, electrical and communications. You will have a commercial and contract awareness and the ability to work a commercial resource to effectively manage change on site. You will have excellent organisation and logistics skills and a good understanding and knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM regulations. You will need to be technically capable and responsible site teams and site establishment.

    We will need you to be experienced in completing the following tasks.

    · Management of utility projects
    · Management of Health and Safety on site
    · Ability to manage staff, subcontractors and suppliers
    · Commercial Management of scheme in conjunction with commercial staff including administration of NEC Contract
    · Delivery of works on site in a safe productive manner
    · Management of project staff to enable the successful planning and sequencing of work and monitoring/reporting progress.
    · Responsibility for project costs.
    · Management of appointed specialist subcontractors etc. is being carried out to specification and programme.
