We're on the hunt for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor who's ready to get stuck into all stages of the project life cycle. From cost planning and tender analysis to contract administration and final account preparation, you'll be fully involved - not just stuck behind a desk. This role offers a real mix of office and site-based work, giving you a well-rounded foundation in infrastructure surveying. You'll be learning directly from experienced professionals who'll support your development every step of the way.

What you'll be doing:

Assisting in preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts

Supporting procurement and tendering processes for subcontractors and suppliers

Monitoring project spend and ensuring commercial control throughout the job

Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain smooth delivery

Helping manage contract variations, valuations, and risk assessments

Preparing monthly commercial reports and supporting final account negotiations

What we're looking for:

A relevant degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or Construction

Strong numeracy and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take responsibility

Knowledge of NEC contracts
