We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, amongst other we are working on a BT Contract, and we're looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Telecoms team in Basingstoke.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor, the Assistant Quantity Surveyor support the Quantity Surveyor as a junior member of the team with back-office support function, evaluation, negotiation, management, and mitigation of commercial and contractual risks for the contracts within the Commercial team of our Telecoms division.
Your duties will also include planning, forecasting, submission, and agreement of applications and subsequently reporting contract commercial performance. You will also manage all necessary support functions in line with company processes and procedures, producing relevant information with emphasis on commercial.

- Strong analytical skills
- Effective written communication.
- Understanding and experience of working with internal/external systems.
- Customer aware and innovative, capable of maximising contract benefits for mutual and longer-term benefit
- Ability to identify and resolve problems at an early stage
- Accurate with good attention to detail and highly organised
- A competent and skilled communicator
- IT literate and experience in working with MS office Applications and Cost Control systems (eg Siteman)
- Experience of a utility working environment
