Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Colchester

Business Area: Kier Utilities- Anglian Water

Contract: Permanent- Full Time

We are now recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Utilities team on our Anglian Water Alliance in Colchester. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within the project teams liaising with the Partner Commercial Lead, Project Engineers, Procurement Coordinators, Planners, Site Team Leaders and Site Managers
  • Alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor, provide commercial management for an allocated programme area of an embedded alliance contract
  • Assist with the control of costs, maximise value, minimising future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety
What do we need from you?

  • Experience of NEC3 framework and a good understanding of an Alliance Contract delivery
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • An understanding of budgeting, cost control, risk mitigation and business targets and reporting requirements
