Our client is a leading national organisation based near Milton Keynes. With a strong history and reputation in their field they now seek a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their internal development team supporting them as they deliver projects across the UK. Working within the Construction Division based at their Head Office just outside of Milton Keynes, you will support a team of Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers to provide cost management and commercial support on construction projects whilst progressing your career.
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:
* Assisting with the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and cost forecasts, as well as the measurement and valuation of work in progress.
* Subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and the preparation of final accounts.
* Reviewing, Analysing and Advising on Tenders.
* Managing PO's against quotations and backup documentation, as well as raising new PO's against capital expenditure and resolving PO queries.
Ideally we are looking for someone who is/has:
* Studying towards Quantity Surveyor Degree on a day release basis or qualified
* Working for construction company or in a construction environment would be beneficial
* Experience of working as a Assistant Quantity Surveyor on both minor and major projects
