My client is a leading construction and project management firm specialising in high-quality fit-out projects.
As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
They are a leading Fit out contractor in the industry and have been designing and delivering office Fit Outs for the last 40 years.
What does an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role entail?
- Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in all aspects of quantity surveying for fit-out projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and time lines.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
- Evaluate contractor proposals and perform thorough analysis of costs, ensuring value for money.
- Monitor project expenses, including variations and progress payments, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, measure quantities, and verify work completed.
- Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contractual agreements.
Requirements for the Quantity Surveyor role:
- Understanding of construction contracts, commercial terms, and contractual obligations
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools.
- Understanding of cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis
- A desire to learn and develop within the field of quantity surveying.
