Job Opportunity: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Lincoln
Salary: Up to £30,000

Role Overview:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate closely with our sales, design, and contracts teams to deliver high-quality projects. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, providing commercial support and management, including estimating tendered and negotiated works. Key duties as and Assistant Quantity Surveyor include:

  • Liaising and coordinating works with customers and the design team
  • Assisting with managing the design process and issuing project information
  • Attending design and client meetings
  • Ensuring a quality product is delivered for all our customers
  • Measuring and quantifying labour, plant, and materials as part of the estimating and delivery function
  • Negotiating and procuring subcontract/labour-only works packages
  • Negotiating and procuring materials
  • Formulating project interim and final accounts both upstream and downstream
  • Assisting with carrying out site surveys and scoping fit-out works brief
  • Visiting sites to re-measure and agree subcontract accounts
  • Valuing and authorising subcontract and supplier invoices
  • Project forecasting and cost value reconciliation reporting
  • Estimating, procuring, and managing small works projects
  • Working within the parameters of the company Quality and Environmental System procedures
  • Working within the parameters of the company Health and Safety policy
